Ranger College Dual Credit

  • Dual Credit Welding

    • Taught by Mr. Price. 
    • 2 year program. 
    • Must start Dual Credit Welding during the Fall of Junior year of High School.
    • No TSI test required.
    • Must apply to Ranger College.
    • Must apply for Financial Aid.
    • Must turn in a parent permission slip to Ms. Clayton. You can pick on up in her office. 

    Dual Credit Cosmetology

    • 2 year program.
    • Students will attend classes after lunch at the Stephenville Ranger College Campus with their own transportation.
    • Must start Dual Credit Cosmetology during the Fall of Junior year of High School.
    • No TSI test required.
    • Must apply to Ranger College.
    • Must apply for Financial Aid.
    • Must turn in a parent permission slip to Ms. Clayton. You can pick on up in her office. 

    Dual Credit Medical Terminology

    • Taught by Mrs. Welch, our high school nurse. 
    • Must take if students are participating in the CTE courses for our nursing program. 
    • Can take during the Fall or the Spring. 
    • No TSI test required. 
    • Must apply to Ranger College.
    • Must apply for Financial Aid.
    • Must turn in a parent permission slip to Ms. Clayton. You can pick on up in her office. 

    All Other Dual Credit Courses

    • All other dual credit courses are online. 
    • You will have a designated class period during school to work on online dual credit classes. 
    • Can start taking online dual credit courses your Sophomore year of high school. 
    • Can take during the Maymester, Fall, Wintermester, and Summer. 
    • Passing TSI reguired unless exempt by the exemption list. 
    • Must apply to Ranger College.
    • Must apply for Financial Aid.
    • Must turn in a parent permission slip to Ms. Clayton. You can pick on up in her office. 

     

     

     

     

Tarleton State University Dual Enrollment

  • English 3 Dual Enrollment

    • Taught by Mrs. Yoho.
    • No TSI required.
    • Must be taken during Junior year of high school.
    • Students will be taking Composition 1 in the Fall.
    • Students will be taking American Lit 1 in the Spring. 
    • Students will get high school English 3 credit and College credit. 

    Algebra 2 Dual Enrollment

    • Taught by Mrs. Vanbebber
    • No TSI required
    • Must be taken during Junior year of high school.
    • Students will be taking College Algebra and high school Algebra 2. 
    • Students will get high school Algebra 2 credit and college credit. 

    U.S. History Dual Enrollment

    • Taught by Coach Bradford
    • No TSI required
    • Must be taken during Junior year of high school. 
    • Students will be taking College U.S. History and high school U.S. History. 
    • Students will get high school U.S. History credit and U.S. History 2 College credit. 

     

     

Fast Program / Dual Credit-Dual Enrollment Payment

  • With the implementation of the FAST Program, the cost per credit hour will change to $55. Please note that tuition will only be covered for students who qualify for the FAST program. Materials such as books, etc. will not be covered by the FAST program.

     

    Students who do not qualify for the FAST program will be charged the rate of $55.00 per credit hour and will be responsible for their materials as well. Reminder: Dublin ISD will pay half of your child’s Dual Credit Tuition.

     

    In order to qualify for the FAST program, students must qualify for the free and reduced lunches based on the free and reduced lunch form and have the Financial Aid (FAFSA) form submitted.
