My name is Christopher Duke I am so proud to be a Dublin Lion! This year I will be teaching English II and College Prep English II for the 2021-2022 school year at Dublin Secondary School. I am originally from Aledo, TX where I graduated high school in 2008. I started my college career at Tarleton State University in Stephenville but then transferred to Texas A&M University in College Station. I finished my bachelor's degree in 2012 and then stayed for my master's in education graduating in 2014 from A&M. I have been in education for 7 years. Last year I taught US History with a 98% passing rate. I hope to continue having success teaching English II.

Some fun facts about myself - I love to read, write, and watch TV/movies. I love to travel, eat new foods, and do photography. I am a big techie and love all kinds of computers and gadgets. I also enjoy artistic painting and Dungeons and Dragons. I have to admit I am a big nerd. Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter, and many other things are among my nerdy interests. I also love theater and Shakespeare above all else when it comes to the stage. (I used to act professionally and in school) However, I also enjoy fishing, been getting into hunting and watching football of all kinds. (Gig Em Aggies!) (Go Lions!) I consider myself a well-rounded person.

I like to think of myself as a person that enjoys life and has many interests. This gives me the chance to get to know people from all walks of life and I have to say that is one of the main reasons I love to teach. I hope that when your students come to my class they will enjoy being themselves and learn something new along with all of the other things I will teach them.
