Welcome to Lion Cub Learning Academy! We are a childcare center that welcomes all children from 6 weeks to 4 years of age. Enrollment is granted without discrimination in regard to sex, religion, race, color, age, handicap, political belief or national origin.  Our center is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and is listed as a provider for Child Care Services (CCS), a division of Texas Workforce. At Lion Cub Learning Academy, our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow and thrive. Currently, we use a blend of Frogstreet & Teaching Strategies curriculum to enrich all of our classrooms. This curriculum helps prepare our children for elementary school by developing important academic, social and emotional skills. 

 

We are open Monday thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We follow the DISD school calendar.

We charge a flat rate of $125 a week per child. All mandatory paperwork must be filled out prior to admission. All rates are reviewed regularly and may be adjusted if deemed necessary. There is also an annual supply fee of $100, which is due at the time of enrollment or in August at the beginning of the school year. 

 

All of Lion Cub Learning Academy staff are DISD employees and are current with their CPR and First Aid Certification. All teachers/caregivers are required to obtain at least a minimum of 30 hours of annual continuing education.
